چکیده

ABSTRACT Study design: identify a better strategy for static stretching (SS), dynamic (DS), and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) concerning the performance of their applications in countermovement vertical jump (CVJ). A systematic literature review was conducted May June 2021 Pubmed/MEDLINE, Scopus, LILACS, SPORTDiscus, Embase databases. The PRISMA-2020 checklist used. Cochrane handbook scale Downs Black were used risk bias analysis. Seventeen studies included qualitative Motor Unit recruitment its stimulation frequency favor neural factors muscle strength during contraction. Detailed investigations are necessary on that modify reflex responses motor control, considering biological characteristics plastic deformations. SS is negative predictor (VJ) performance. improvements reduced when time longer than 60 seconds, associated with PNF, did not reveal significant results. Using before DS short periods 20 seconds no more pre-activity to VJ suggested. In stretches, ROM increased both knee hip, hamstring muscles, tension, unfavorable sports frequently use VJ. Therefore, PNF using technique involves process contracting relaxing must be investigated an isolated specific way, advocating antagonist group. Thus, decreasing may favorable height gain, although contemporary needed minimize lower stability control predictors. Level Evidence II; Systematic Review Study.

Acute effects of a warm-up including active, passive, and dynamic stretching on vertical jump performance.

The purpose of this study was to examine the acute effects of 3 different stretching methods combined with a warm-up protocol on vertical jump performance. Sixteen young tennis players (14.5 ± 2.8 years; 175 ± 5.6 cm; 64.0 ± 11.1 kg) were randomly assigned to 4 different experimental conditions on 4 successive days. Each session consisted of a general and specific warm-up, with 5 minutes of run...

The effect of static, ballistic, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching on vertical jump performance.

The purpose of this study was to compare the acute effects of different modes of stretching on vertical jump performance. Eighteen male university students (age, 24.3 +/- 3.2 years; height, 181.5 +/- 11.4 cm; body mass, 78.1 +/- 6.4 kg; mean +/- SD) completed 4 different conditions in a randomized order, on different days, interspersed by a minimum of 72 hours of rest. Each session consisted of...

The acute effects of dynamic and ballistic stretching on vertical jump height, force, and power.

Stretching before performance is a common practice among athletes in hopes of increasing performance and reducing the risk of injury. However, cumulative results indicate a negative impact of static stretching and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) on performance; thus, there is a need for evaluating other stretching strategies for effective warm-up. The purpose of this study was t...

The acute effects of different stretching durations on vertical jump performance in trained male athletes

The purpose of this study was to compare the acute effects of static stretching on vertical jump in trained male athletes. 25 healthy male athletes (age: 20.8 ± 2.3 years) who were National league 1 and 2, basketball, volleyball and handball players participated in the study. Subjects performed a 5 minute warm up followed by each of the following three stretching conditions on separate days wit...

Ballistic stretching increases flexibility and acute vertical jump height when combined with basketball activity.

Stretching is often included as part of a warm-up procedure for basketball activity. However, the efficacy of stretching with respect to sport performance has come into question. We determined the effects of 4 different warm-up protocols followed by 20 minutes of basketball activity on flexibility and vertical jump height. Subjects participated in 6 weeks (2 times per week) of warm-up and baske...
